Minerals

Minerals

Many of our IV nutrition formulas at Amethyst Wellness utilize Olympia Pharmacy’s Mineral Blend. The mineral blend contains Magnesium, Zinc, Copper, Selenium, and Manganese.

Did you know certain minerals act as powerful antioxidants? Several minerals play a vital role in decreasing PMS symptoms, improving immune function, and in the metabolism of nutrients.

Magnesium

Magnesium has a calming effect and is a great treatment for anxiety and insomnia. It also helps with the symptoms of PMS. It can be beneficial in migraine treatment and muscle cramps. Additionally, it can treat certain breathing disorders. Magnesium even has a role in pain relief.

 Zinc & Manganese

Both zinc and manganese are believed to reduce oxidative stress. Manganese is important in the formation and functioning of the superoxide dismutase (SOD) antioxidant, which can help reduce damage to your cells.

Zinc improves the immune response by boosting cells critical to the immune system, helping to prevent infection.  Zinc also assists in wound healing and is important for skin related conditions. It helps combat depression and improves smell and taste.  Many men use it to help with urination when suffering from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).

Selenium

Selenium is a powerful antioxidant that fights oxidative stress linked to chronic conditions like heart disease and cancer.  It plays an essential role in supporting Glutathione production. It’s also important for healthy skin and optimal thyroid function.

Copper

Copper is needed to help your body use iron and can help treat anemia. It is also important for nerve function, bone growth, and to help your body use sugar.

I personally ensure I receive the mineral blend in my IV formula every time I feel a cold coming on or I feel run down. Ask your provider which IV Nutrition formula is right for you.

Consults are free. Call to schedule 386-283-4180.
